Car headlights are a crucial component of a vehicle, and their maintenance and replacement cycles are vital for ensuring driving safety. While a car consists of thousands of parts, making it difficult for the average car owner to fully understand them, mastering the basics of replacing easily worn and consumable parts is an essential skill for every driver. Only in this way can we ensure our cars are always in optimal condition, safeguarding our travel safety.

Car headlights are a vital guarantee for safe driving, making regular replacement particularly important. Currently, halogen headlights, xenon headlights, and LED headlights are some of the most common types on the market. These different types of headlights have different effective lifespans. As headlights are used for longer periods, their brightness gradually decreases. Therefore, it is recommended that car owners check and replace their headlights after a certain usage cycle to ensure driving safety.

Headlights play a crucial role in safety. Halogen, xenon, and LED headlights have different lifespans, and their brightness decreases over time; regular inspection and replacement are recommended.

Currently, most car models sold on the market, especially those priced below 300,000 yuan, are equipped with halogen headlights. These lights have a replacement cycle of approximately 500 hours, or less than 42 days of continuous use. Therefore, if used continuously for 24 hours a day, they only last for 21 days. However, in reality, few people drive continuously for extended periods; typically, car owners use their headlights for about 2.5 hours a day. Based on this usage, the replacement cycle for halogen car headlights is approximately 200 days, or about every six months. Halogen lamps have a short lifespan of about 500 hours, and in practice, they should be replaced every six months when their brightness decreases.
